About Me

I am a psychotraumatologist, Gestalt psychotherapist, and EMDR therapist.

For over seven years, I have been supporting adults and adolescents aged 16+ in working through trauma, emotional difficulties, and life crises, helping them regain a sense of safety, inner balance, and connection with themselves.

I completed a four-year training program at the Warsaw School of Gestalt Psychotherapy, accredited by the EAGT, as well as full EMDR training and specialist training in psychotraumatology. I am a member of the Polish EMDR Association and a recommended EMDR therapist. I regularly participate in supervision, workshops, and professional trainings to continuously deepen and refine my therapeutic practice.

In my work, I integrate Gestalt psychotherapy — grounded in mindfulness, authentic presence, and expanded self-awareness — with EMDR therapy, an evidence-based approach effective in treating trauma, PTSD, complex PTSD, anxiety, chronic stress, and the lasting impact of difficult relational experiences. I believe meaningful and lasting change becomes possible when we reconnect with ourselves as a whole: mind, body, emotions, and inner experience.

For me, the therapeutic relationship itself is at the heart of the healing process. I strive to create a space based on trust, safety, and deep respect for each person’s individual story — a space where insight, healing, and genuine transformation can unfold naturally.

I work with individuals experiencing:

trauma, PTSD, and complex PTSD (cPTSD)

anxiety, depression, and psychosomatic symptoms

grief, loss, and life transitions

narcissistic abuse and relational difficulties

the long-term effects of growing up in dysfunctional or addicted family systems (ACA/DDA)

challenges related to identity, self-worth, and emotional connection

Psychotherapy is more than a profession to me – it is a way of understanding human beings, relationships, and the process of inner transformation.

I offer psychotherapy in both Polish and English, online and in person.

Personally, I find grounding and inspiration in nature, Zen meditation, travel, and music. Currently, I am fulfilling a long-held dream of learning to play the piano.

How I Work

In my therapeutic work, I integrate two approaches: Gestalt psychotherapy and EMDR therapy. I am drawn to an integrative understanding of the human experience — one that includes emotions, the body, relationships, and experiences held within the nervous system. This allows me to work both in a deeply relational and process-oriented way, as well as in a more structured manner, particularly in the area of trauma and difficult life experiences.

Gestalt Psychotherapy

Gestalt therapy is a humanistic and experiential approach to psychotherapy that focuses on self-awareness and authentic contact — both with oneself and with others. Particular attention is given to the present moment, as it is in the “here and now” that emotions, needs, tensions, and recurring patterns of relating most clearly emerge.

One of the foundations of Gestalt therapy is the paradoxical theory of change, which suggests that genuine transformation does not occur through trying to become someone else, but through becoming more fully aware of and accepting who we truly are.

“Change occurs when one becomes what he is, not when he tries to become what he is not.” — Arnold Beisser

Therapy is therefore not about imposing ready-made solutions, but about creating a safe and supportive space for deeper self-understanding, emotional awareness, and greater connection with one’s needs and relationships. Mindfulness, presence, and compassionate awareness are central elements of this process.

Gestalt therapy is also influenced by dialogical philosophy, phenomenology, and mindfulness practices, including Zen meditation.
“The most precious gift we can offer others is our presence.” — Thich Nhat Hanh
Gestalt psychotherapy can support people experiencing emotional difficulties, relationship challenges, chronic stress, anxiety, life crises, or a sense of disconnection from themselves and others.

EMDR Therapy

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a psychotherapy approach that supports the processing of traumatic and distressing experiences. Originally developed for the treatment of PTSD, it is now also widely used in working with complex trauma (cPTSD), anxiety, chronic stress, difficult relational experiences, low self-esteem, and the effects of emotional overwhelm.

EMDR therapy is based on the understanding that certain experiences may become stored in the nervous system in an unprocessed way — together with the emotions, physical sensations, and beliefs that were present at the time of the experience. Within a safe therapeutic relationship, these experiences can gradually be processed so that they no longer evoke the same intensity of fear, tension, or feeling of being stuck.

A characteristic element of EMDR therapy is bilateral stimulation, most commonly in the form of eye movements, alternating sounds, or gentle sensory stimulation. This supports the brain's natural processes of integrating experiences.

EMDR is not about "erasing" memories. The goal of therapy is to transform the way an experience is held and processed emotionally, making it possible to regain a greater sense of safety, agency, and connection with oneself in the present moment.

“In EMDR therapy, you are the true expert on your own experience and your own healing.” — Francine Shapiro
